About

I’m not looking to better myself. I’m looking to best myself.

This is what CrossFit has allowed me to do. Not only have I become more fit, but I’ve become stronger. Mentally and physically. I’ve become smarter in regards to training and nutrition. CrossFit is exactly what I was missing.

Others CrossFitters know exactly what I mean. We may hate how burpees make us feel and the inevitable pain that Fran causes, but we love it. There is really nothing like it. The genuine love for post-WOD exhaustion and hard work is what makes CrossFitters special. We know that all that hard work yields the greatest results.

Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

No one has ever gotten anywhere by doing what’s easy. If everything were easy, nothing would truly be earned. You will never realize your limits if you’re afraid to push them.

Push-ups are a proven exercise. In high amounts of reps, they can become very difficult. You know what’s more difficult? Doing them upside down. Most people can do a pushup, feel people can do a handstand pushup. It takes a while to get comfortable with your head on the floor and feet in the air. Get used to it.

Passion is what drives us. Do what you love – no matter what.

Before CrossFit came into my life, sports were my biggest passion. While they may share a spot with CrossFit now, I will always be as passionate of a sports fan as anyone. Sports have always been a part of my life and they always will be.

Passion is a funny thing. It can be unexplainable at times but it is exponentially powerful. If you’re passionate about something, pursue it with abandon. You won’t regret it.

The Canyon of Heroes

I decided to start The Canyon of Heroes blog to share my passions with all of you. CrossFit, sports and nutrition are just a few of my favorite things. Thank you for reading and I hope my passions and posts can inspire you to pursue your passions, become comfortable with your weaknesses and strive to best yourself.

If you just genuinely enjoy CrossFit and sports, that’s cool too. Enjoy!
